Teacher — signing back in and setting up your class
Add your class, add the children's names, and use the coloured dots to group pupils privately.
Step by step
Sign in
Teacher Login, then your email and password. The school code box can stay empty — you only needed it when you first joined.
Add your class name
Give the class the name your school uses, for example '5A' or 'Willow'. SchoolBudi creates a class code for the children's check-in screen.
Add the children's names
Type them in, or paste your whole class list with one name on each line. Each child gets their own PIN, which you can reset at any time.
Children start checking in
Open the class check-in screen on a device or whiteboard. Children pick their name, enter their PIN and say how they're feeling. Names go green once they've checked in today.
Assign coloured dots
Next to each child you can add one or more coloured dots to group them quietly — click a colour to add it, click again to remove it. A child can have several.
Watch your class dashboard
You'll see today's check-ins, anyone who has asked to talk, the class mood over time, and how the dot groups are feeling.

Good to know
- Only your school decides what each colour means, and only your school can see that key. SchoolBudi never stores or sees the meaning behind a colour — just the colour itself.
- School leadership can also assign dots across the whole school from the Pupil groups page.
