How to use SchoolBudi: from your first sign-up to daily check-ins

New to SchoolBudi? Whether you are a school leader setting up an account or a teacher getting a class ready, here is a simple route from signing up to the first daily check-in. You can follow along at your own pace in our How-To centre.

Choose how your school starts

You have two choices on the SchoolBudi home page:

Start your school’s free trial: get seven days of full access without a card. Add classes and pupils, invite teachers and try daily check-ins before paying. Start a free trial.
Sign up and pay straight away: create your school account and go directly to the Billing page to choose your number of classes and pay by card. This option does not start a trial. Sign up here.

In either case, the school leader enters their email and password, school name and contact name, and agrees to the policies. When subscribing, the price is £30 per class per academic year, or £25 per class for five or more classes; the lower price is applied automatically. If a trial ends before you subscribe, your information is kept and new check-ins pause until you subscribe. For both paths, see our trial and subscription guide.

Set up your school

School leadership can find the school code on their dashboard, add classes and pupils, and invite teachers by email. Teachers use the school code once when creating an account; after that, they sign in with their email and password. Add children’s names individually or paste a class list, one name per line. Each child gets their own check-in PIN.

Follow first-time setup for school leaders, signing back in as a school leader, creating a teacher account with the school code, or setting up a teacher’s class and coloured dots.

Make check-ins part of the day

Children choose their name on the class screen, enter their PIN and share how they feel. They can quietly ask to talk to a teacher and explore calming tools afterwards. Teachers can see who has checked in today, requests to talk and class trends; school leaders can also see the whole-school picture. Coloured dots can help schools group pupils privately. Only your school knows what a colour means; SchoolBudi never stores or sees the meaning behind it.
